The Role of Molecular Sieves in Polyurethane Adhesives

Two-component polyurethane adhesives are adhesives obtained by the reaction of isocyanates and hydroxyl-containing compounds, with their molecular chains containing urethane groups (-NHCOO-) or isocyanate groups (-NCO). These adhesives typically consist of two components: one is the isocyanate component (curing agent B), which contains NCO groups, and the other is the hydroxyl component (main agent A), which contains hydroxyl groups.

Two-component polyurethane adhesives have excellent bonding performance, chemical stability, and high-temperature resistance. Common applications include potting compounds, aluminum honeycomb adhesive, purification board adhesive, and waterproof coatings. CHEMXIN powder-type molecular sieve are often used in the synthesis of polyurethane materials as an additive for water removal and bubble elimination.
