CMS-011

When replacing the carbon molecular sieve in the nitrogen generator, please first determine the required CMS type and volume:

1. Based on the nameplate of the nitrogen generator, identify the required type of the carbon molecular sieve and the filling volume. Generally, the volume should be double the total number of single cylinders.

2. If you are unsure which type of carbon molecular sieve to use, you can confirm it based on the nitrogen requirements. For example, if the filling quantity is 500 kg,  and the required nitrogen concentration is 99.5%, with a nitrogen output of 130 m³/h, you can choose CMS260.

If there is instability or insufficient nitrogen production after replacement, please check the following points:

1. Whether there are any leaks in the filtration and drying system and all pipelines of the nitrogen generator.

2. Whether the pipelines and the purification cooling system before the nitrogen generator are unobstructed.

3. Whether the filter element is clogged and if the control valve is functioning properly.

4.  Whether the intake temperature is normal and the operation of the refrigeration dryer is functioning correctly.

5. Whether the adsorption pressure of the carbon molecular sieve is within the normal range.

If black powder appears to be ejected from the pipeline, please check the following points:

1. Whether the carbon molecular sieve is installed tightly.

2. Whether the supporting cushion in the tower is damaged.

3. Whether the wire mesh in the adsorption tower is intact.

Optimal Operating Conditions for Carbon Molecular Sieve:

1. The optimal feed gas temperature is between 0 to 20 degrees Celsius; lower temperatures result in higher efficiency.

2. The inlet pressure should be between 0.6 to 0.8 MPA; higher pressures increase efficiency. If the pressure drops below 0.5 MPA, nitrogen production efficiency may decrease by approximately 40%.

3. The outlet nitrogen pressure should be between 0.3 to 0.5 MPA. Maintaining a certain pressure differential between the inlet and outlet can improve nitrogen production efficiency.

4. The working cycle is 60 seconds, with an adsorption duration of 50 seconds, adjustable as needed.

5. The carbon molecular sieve will experience about 5% natural decay each year.
